Freestanding Emergency Medical Care Facility
Lonestar 24 HR ER is a freestanding emergency medical care facility. When a patient receives an emergency evaluation at this facility, there is an associated facility fee and a physician fee charged for the medical care provided to the patient in addition to any testing and other services provided.
There are simple steps everyone can take to help prevent the spread of respiratory viruses like COVID-19:
* Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
* Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
* Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
* Stay home when you are sick.
* Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then wash your hands.
* Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.

Lonestar 24 HR ER is a freestanding emergency medical care facility. Lonestar 24 HR ER charges rates comparable to a hospital emergency room and may charge a facility fee. Facility and physicians providing medical care at the facility are not a participating provider in the patient’s health benefit plan provider network. Lonestar 24 HR ER physicians providing medical care at the facility may bill separately from the facility for the medical care provided to a patient.
Disclosure requirements of HB 2041 apply to both "independent" and hospital-affiliated FEC's.

- Lonestar 24HR ER charges rates comparable to a hospital emergency room and may charge a facility fee;
- a facility or a physician providing medical care at the facility may be an out-of-network provider for the patient's health benefit plan provider network;
- a physician providing medical care at the facility may bill separately from the facility for the medical care provided to a patient; and
- Lonestar 24HR ER is an out-of-network provider for all health benefit plans.
